Every single day millions of animals are abused, exploited or killed by humans in the UK and Ireland. The scale of suffering is almost beyond comprehension. Yes, we have laws to protect animals - but we are not seeing the routine and effective enforcement of these laws. This happens because many of the institutions and structures that should allow us to protect animals, are broken. This is not OK. We have had enough. No more pussyfooting. We are here to take on these problems. We are here to make change. We are here to make things better for animals. And we will do this in two ways:
Transparency - We should know how animal industries operate so that we can decide whether and how we want to continue to support them. We want to know how they treat animals and this means knowing where they live, how they live and yes, also how they die. And we want to know what these industries are doing to our environment. We will not tolerate governments shielding themselves and business from proper scrutiny.
Accountability - When things go wrong people should be held accountable. Widespread welfare problems are rarely the fault of one person. It’s the fault of many actors. If you are complicit in the gross abuse of animals, we are here to take you on.
We want to create a community of like minded people who can work with us to make change. People like you.
